Welcome to the Prosthetics Society, 2025-26 IC Union’s Most Improved Society of the Year!

Our society is split into 4 teams working on different body-related projects:

• Arm Team is designing a bionic arm with up to 25 degrees of freedom. The human hand for reference has 27 including the wrist.
  • Time: Every Thursday at 18:00

• Exoskeleton Team is developing a full-body strength enhancing exoskeleton, starting with the hand and arm.
  • Time: Every Wednesday at 13:00
  • Venue: EEE 505

• Leg Team is designing a 6 bar knee joint as well as a variable stiffness ankle. The goal is to develop effective devices within our limited budget.
  • Time: Every Wednesday at 18:00

• Affordable Team is developing a rotary adapter compatible with the ICRC (red cross) transfemoral prosthesis. This allows the user to bend the knee, enabling everyday activities such as sitting cross-legged, praying and driving. Following initial field testing in Cambodia, the team is now looking to push the design towards ISO 10328 compliance. Read more about them here: https://linktr.ee/sg3323. Aside from projects, we host activities and events all year round including:

• Workshops in CAD, electronics, and 3D printing
• Talks with industry experts
• Socials with other teams across the society
• Last year, we even participated in the Great Exhibition Road Festival!
